Cornelius-Lemley Fire Rescue issued the following announcement on Oct. 16. 

Come join the Cornelius Police Department and Cornelius-Lemley Fire Rescue this Saturday, October 16th, 2pm, at Bailey Road Park for our annual Guns and Hoses Charity Softball Game presented by H2 Public House.

The afternoon starts with a Home Run Derby follow by our local Police Officers and Fire Fighters hitting the softball field to battle it out! 

There will be activities for the kids, a 50/50 raffle, food, and other prizes! 

Proceeds will be donated to Pat’s Place Child Advocacy Center and Firefighters’ Burned Children Fund (Charlotte-Mecklenburg County Chapter).
