Town of Huntersville issued the following announcement on Feb. 25.

The Town of Huntersville is in the design phase of the North Mecklenburg Park Greenway, which will be approximately 0.6 miles of paved greenway running through North Mecklenburg Park. The trail corridor will link NC73 to the Harvest Point subdivision at Amber Field Drive and The Hamptons subdivision via the mountain bike/hiking trail. This segment will extend the north/south link between Downtown Huntersville and NC73, which will eventually have a side path as part of the NC73 road project. The Town of Huntersville will be submitting an application for a PARTF Grant to help fund the construction of this greenway.
