Town of Cornelius Parks and Recreation Department issued the following announcement on Dec. 20.

Due to forecasted frigid temperatures and arctic cold coming our way and to protect waterlines from freezing and rupturing.

We are closing ALL park public restrooms from Thursday, December 22, through Tuesday, December 27, at 10 a.m.

Thank you for your cooperation. Stay safe, and stay warm!
