Town of Matthews issued the following announcement on March 23.

The Easter Bunny is helping participants win fun prizes again this year in downtown Matthews.
The Great Easter Eggspedition kicks off on March 31 and continues through April 9.

 Easter eggs will be hidden in outdoor locations throughout town including town properties, historic landmarks, and other special places. Here's how to enter:
 
1.  Download the GooseChase app onto your smartphone.
2.  Log in as a Guest.
3.  Solve the clue in each mission to find the location where an egg is hidden.
4.  Take a selfie at each location that includes you, the egg, and the location in the photo
5.  Download each selfie in the corresponding space provided, to complete each mission
6.  Those that solve all of the clues and complete each mission with selfies, will be entered to win the EGGspedition GRAND PRIZE, awarded on April 10th.

Once you are signed in to GooseChase, search for The Great Easter EGGspedition 2023 by name, or by using the

code: 5W3KQK
 
The Great Easter Eggspedition is presented by the Matthews United Methodist Church. 
Participants should hunt cautiously, taking care around plants, wildlife, and property. 

Photos are to be taken at the eggs and not necessarily directly beside some landmarks. 

Eggs will not be hidden in dangerous spots, but participants should also be cautious around rocks, creeks, and natural holes.
 
Get out with your family, enjoy our town, and win a fun prize! One entry per family, please.
