Town of Cornelius issued the following announcement on Mar. 10.

The Catawba Avenue closure will be extended by one additional week due to weather- and utility-related delays. Construction is scheduled to end on March 18.  
Thank you all for your continued cooperation and patience. 

Eastbound traffic will be directed to travel in the westbound lane. Westbound traffic will be rerouted behind the live-work buildings located next to Town Hall. Flaggers will be on-site to help guide motorists.
