Town of Cornelius issued the following announcement on Jan. 22.

First Baptist Church of Cornelius will be hosting free, drive-thru COVID testing clinics on Tuesday and Thursday, January 25 & 27, from 9 AM to 4 PM.

Cars will enter the parking lot from Beard St. and exit onto Catawba Ave. Walk-ups should go directly to the registration tent. There is no appointment necessary, this will be on a first-come-first-serve basis.  This is a PCR test with an expected turnaround time of 2-3 days.

Preregistration is not necessary but may speed up the process: https://mako.exchange/scheduler/registration/?location=7065

Testing clinics will continue through February on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 9AM to 4PM as long as there is a demand for testing.  The church is located at 21007 Catawba Avenue in Cornelius.

Pastor David Judge said, “First Baptist cares about the health and welfare of our community. We’re excited to partner with the County to offer this free service.”
