Town of Cornelius issued the following announcement on Sep 10.

Meet Your Neighbors: How a group of neighbors came together to save a life.

We know we like to brag about how amazing the residents of Cornelius are, we may even be biased, but on Saturday, July 17, an exceptional group of individuals proved us right.

Terry Maher, President of the Caldwell Station HOA, was first to notify us here at the Town about a potentially tragic incident turned heartwarming tale.

On the afternoon of July 17, a day we’re sure was scorching, the neighborhood pool at Caldwell Station was bustling with people looking to beat the heat. A young boy named Raymond, three years old, slipped under the water and began to struggle.

Also in this week’s newsletter: 9/11 Remembrance Vigil replay, Praise in the Park, ‘Tawba Walk, and more.
