Town of Cornelius issued the following announcement on Feb. 1.
On Thursday Cornelius firefighters answered three separate natural gas leak calls.
The third and final one involved a water leak as well causing quite a muddy situation.
Cornelius ended the day with 11 calls for service and one set of extremely muddy gear.
