TOWN OF CORNELIUS: Public Health Rule Expires Feb. 26
0Comments

Town of  Cornelius issued the following announcement on Feb. 24.

Effective February 26, 2022, the Mecklenburg County Public Health Rule requiring indoor face coverings will expire. The Board of County Commissioners voted to end this rule following declining numbers of positive COVID-19 tests.

Residents should consider wearing a face covering when social distancing is not possible. The best way to stay protected against COVID-19 is vaccination, and eligible vaccinated residents should receive their booster.

For visitors of Town facilities, including Town Hall and the Cornelius Police Station, wearing a face covering will become optional as of February 26. Visitors may choose to wear a face covering at their own discretion.

We look forward to welcoming all of your smiling faces through our doors, regardless of whether or not we can see that smile. Please continue to remain vigilant, make smart choices, and keep yourself and your neighbors safe.
