Town of Davidson issued the following announcement on Apr. 4.

The Arts & Science Council (ASC) seeks a Davidson resident for its advisory council to represent the north/west region of Mecklenburg County. The ASC strives to create a more vibrant cultural life for our entire community. To accomplish this goal, the ASC board of directors has established advisory councils to ensure that the ASC is actively engaged in assessing community and resident needs. The council is comprised of community members appointed by the boards and councils of each Mecklenburg town, the Charlotte City Council, the Board of County Commissioners, and the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School Board.

The advisory council will meet twice annually as a council and once a year with the ASC board of directors at their annual meeting.

Those interested in serving a two-year term can apply by filling out this application by April 29: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/fy23acapp
