Town of Davidson issued the following announcement on Aug. 14. 

a reminder that back to school means more traffic and watching out for children walking and biking to school.  The Community School of Davidson starts on Monday, August 16, Davidson Day will stagger the start of classes over three days beginning on Monday, August 16, Tuesday, August 17, and Wednesday, August 18, and Davidson K-8 starts on Wednesday, August 25. Be careful, be alert, and don’t be a distracted driver.
