TOWN OF DAVIDSON: LiveDavidson Housing Affordability Input Session – March 30

TOWN OF DAVIDSON: LiveDavidson Housing Affordability Input Session – March 30
0Comments

issued the following announcement on Mar. 14.

Join us for an interactive public input session, where community members can learn more about the town’s developing Affordable Housing Plan (known as LiveDavidson) and provide feedback on housing affordability in Davidson. There will be a presentation from Onpointe Partners which will include recent survey results, preliminary recommendations, and more. Breakout sessions will provide opportunities for the community to offer feedback.

Davidson is one of the most expensive places to live in the state, and it is anticipated that real estate prices and rent will continue to increase in the foreseeable future. The Davidson Board of Commissioners has charged OnPointe Partners, the plan’s consultant, with helping to develop a plan that provides comprehensive, and alternative, recommendations for producing new and preserving existing affordable homes, targeted regulatory changes, strategic infrastructure investments, strategic ways to spend the housing (payment in lieu) funds, identify new funding sources as well as other tools to increase affordable housing. For some fast facts about the affordable housing plan, please check out our informational flyer here.

Participation from the public is a key component in developing the Affordable Housing Plan, and we hope many of our residents will be able to attend. Light refreshments will be provided.
