TOWN OF DAVIDSON: Residents Invited to Commissioner Chat with Elected Officials: October Focus on Pedestrian Safety

0Comments

Town of Davidson issued the following announcement on Oct. 17.

The Town of Davidson invites community members to join elected officials for its inaugural Commissioner Chat on Wednesday, October 26, beginning at 12:00 p.m. at Homewood Suites (125 Harbour Place Drive). All those who live, work, and play in Davidson are invited to attend this informal “chat” and discuss the town’s approach to Pedestrian Safety and learn about the town’s Vision Zero strategy. There will also be an opportunity for open discussion and Q & A. Light refreshments will be provided.

“We’re so glad to have the opportunity to get out into the community and hear from residents in an informal setting,” said Davidson Mayor Rusty Knox. “We had to suspend our ‘Coffee Chats’ with the pandemic, and we imagine these Commissioner Chats to be very similar, but even more inclusive and timely.”

Since October is Pedestrian Safety Month, elected officials will invite conversation around this critical topic before expanding discussion up to any topic of interest with an open Q&A. Future Commissioner Chats will occur at various times and locations throughout town and will highlight a variety of pertinent issues. They will also always allow an opportunity for candid conversation in the community.
