TOWN OF HUNTERSVILLE: Main Street Project Update

0Comments

Town of Huntersville issued the following announcement on Oct. 10.

Starting MONDAY, OCTOBER 17, crews will close the section of S. Main Street between Mullen and Huntersville-Concord Road and begin work to re-connect businesses to the new waterline, install a storm drainage system, and replace the sidewalk/curb/gutter/asphalt in front of the businesses.

This construction is anticipated to last 21 days, weather permitting, and will complete all MAJOR work items on South Main Street.

There will be a few minor touch-up items to complete after this work is done, but the goal is to complete ALL work in front of the businesses during this closure.

The entire road section will be closed. We have asked the contractor to provide front sidewalk access whenever it’s possible; however, safety will be the first priority.
