The Nutcracker

Matthews Ballet presents The Nutcracker at Fullwood Theater inside of the Matthews Community Center.  This is a general admission event with no assigned seating.  Tickets are $7/person.  This is a family friendly event!  Performance dates and times:

November 26: 2pm & 7pm

November 27: 3pm

December 3: 2pm & 7pm

December 4: 3pm

Tickets for the Nutcracker will be available at this link.

Mischief KitsParents! Do you have a tiny visitor from the North Pole that visits in December? Let us help you out this holiday season! We have created 24 days of Mischief Kits to make sure your tiny visitor has something creative to get into each of these days.  These kits are completely packaged, with individual days packaged separately. Most all supplies are included in these kits; there may be one or two things you can add from home to enhance the mischief! We also include a photo of what the set up should look like. There is a welcome letter and a good-bye letter included for the first and last day of your little guest’s visit. Elves are not included with these kits; you must purchase or have that on your own. There are enough supplies for one elf in each kit. The price includes 24 days of Mischief!  Kits can be picked up from the Matthews Community Center between Friday, November 18-Tuesday, November 22.

Photos with Santa & Santa Paws!

Families are invited to get their photo taken with Santa Claus!  This will take place in the Community Room at the Matthews Community Center on Saturday, December 10.  Families will be able to register for a time slot starting on November 4 at 9am.  Tickets are limited!!  If families with more than 5 people are planning on coming, we recommend purchasing 2 time slots as each slot has a certain amount of time with Santa.  Bring your own camera or your phone to take pictures.  We will have staff present to use your device so that you are also in the photo!  The last hour of Photos that day will be open to families and their fur pets!  Dogs and cats must be contained or under leash control at all times.  Pets must be up to date on current rabies vaccination, must be friendly and non-reactive to other dogs or people, and no retractable leashes will be permitted as families will be waiting in line outside and dogs will need to be held close on a regular leash.  Treat bags will be given out to fur pets and to families after the photo.

Noon Year’s Eve Party

Ring in the New Year — family-style!! Families are invited to attend our NEWEST event in the Fullwood Theater at the Matthews Community Center! We will have a kid-friendly DJ, a magician and a bubble show, and a countdown at 12 NOON followed by a balloon drop! Whether this is a pre-party for a fun day of activities, or your only celebration for the day, we’re excited to celebrate New Year’s Eve (daytime) with all of you!  Parents must stay with their child during this event, and a ticket is required for each person attending. THIS IS NOT A DROP OFF EVENT. This is recommended for ages 4 and up because of the louder music, but all ages are welcome!  Ticket price is PER PERSON; every individual needs a ticket, even if they will be sitting in a lap.  This is a general admission event with no assigned seating. Doors will open at 10:30am and the event will start at 10:45am.
