Town of Weddington issued the following announcement on Sep 3. 

The Union County Master Gardeners will be holding a free 1.5-hour composting class on September 25 from 1:30 to 3:00 pm. The class will contain information on various types of composting, what kitchen scraps and brown matter can be used for composting, and what composter will work best for you. There will be a raffle for 5 kitchen waste bins. Everyone is welcome but please register at the following link to attend:
